The Journey Behind the Course
I’m Jeff, a UX designer with over two decades of experience, and I’m going to be brutally honest with you—I didn’t always know how to tell a compelling story with my designs. Early in my career, I lost count of how many presentations fell flat because I couldn’t convey the value of my work. It wasn’t until I started using storytelling techniques that things began to change.
I’m not just talking about small changes. These techniques have earned me seven promotions, allowed me to ship apps used by tens of millions, and helped me secure $6 million in business for my firm. I’ve presented designs to Jeff Bezos more than 30 times and have seen firsthand how powerful storytelling can be in a room full of high-stakes decision-makers.
I created this course because I believe every UX designer should have access to these skills. I’ve spent years honing this approach, and now I’m sharing everything I know with you.
Why Storytelling Is Your Secret Weapon
You might be thinking, “Why is storytelling so important in UX design?” Here’s why:
Build Credibility: Storytelling transforms you from just another designer into a strategic partner. When you can tell a compelling story, stakeholders trust you more and see you as someone who understands the bigger picture.
Influence Stakeholders: Imagine being able to get your team to agree to designs you’re proud of without endless back-and-forth. That’s what storytelling can do for you. It helps you communicate the ‘why’ behind your decisions, making it easier for others to buy into your vision.
Accelerate Your Career: Whether you’re gunning for a promotion or trying to land your next big client, storytelling is the skill that sets you apart. It’s how you make your work memorable, persuasive, and impactful.
